| I have been a world traveler for most of my life and I have traveled five out of the last ten years to around 40 countries on five continents. I have done extensive travel writing and photography of my travels and am eager to share my material with others. Our latest adventure took my wife and me back-packing around the world for two years. Some of our experiences on this journey included: • following wildebeest in Masai Mara • tracking mountain gorillas in Uganda • spending 10 days on camels in the Thar desert of Rajasthan • experiencing the Puskar Camel Fair and its 50,000 camels and 2 million people • trekking to remote hill tribes on the Laos/China border • exploring massive caves in the rainforests Borneo • hiking the extensive Longji Rice Terraces in Guanxi Province • spending 4 months dancing Tango in Buenos Aires • traveling by bus and small boat from the tip of South America to Virginia, USA • exploring Argentina’s Glaciers National Park and the stunning Fitzroy range • sailing through the fjords of Chile • town-hopping through the colonial villages of Northern Argentina • digging in a silver mine in Potosi, Bolivia • four wheeling across the vast salt flats of Uyuni • hiking to find anacondas and cobras in the steamy Bolivian Pampas • mountain biking down the World’s Most Dangerous Road in Bolivia • hiking down Peru’s Colca Canyon, one of the world’s deepest • sailing around the Galapagos Islands • trekking to Colombia’s lost city and visiting a cocaine lab in the bush • sailing three weeks from Cartagena, Colombia to the San Blas of Panama • visiting the wild Caribbean park of Tortugeuro, Costa Rica • experiencing Semana Santa (Holy Week) with a local family in Antigua de Guatemala Check out my albums and tell me what you think. - john |
